COVID-19 Update

Posted on March 23 2020

To our valued customers and members of the outdoor community,

We have once again found ourselves in a time of great uncertainty and even greater challenge. It is a time where we have been called as Australians, to reconsider something which lots of us identify as being core to who we are, the outdoors.

As more and more of us are being forced to lock ourselves in the confinement of our homes, it is becoming increasingly important to take care of ourselves physically, but mentally as well. These are challenging times, and it is projected to get worse.

For most of us, climbing, hiking, camping or any other form of adventuring is an escape, it’s a sanctuary. As we approach the real possibility of these activities being limited, if not shut down completely, there are two paths which we can choose to take. The first is to be defeated, but the second is to persevere!

As lovers of the outdoors, we are also excellent problem solvers. We are jerry-riggers, we are tent pole splinters, and we are shoe duct-tapers! We have been faced with a new kind of problem, but not one that we can’t solve. Can’t go climbing? ... Train on a hang board. Can’t go camping in the Mountains? … I guess the backyard will do!

What does this mean for Frontier?

As a business, it is our duty to ensure the safety of our staff, our customers and the wider community. With this in mind, we have made the decision to close our retail showroom until further notice. However, this does not mean we can no longer service our customers! We will be on site ready to provide our expert gear advice via phone or email, and we will continue to ship online orders promptly. We understand finding the right gear is crucial, so we will be offering free returns for exchanges whilst our store is closed.

We are a community, so let’s act as one and spur each other on during these rough times. Leave a comment and share your ideas for how we can stay safe and sane whilst stuck at home.

Stay safe everyone,

The Frontier Team
