Quicklinks are most suitable in situations where constant opening and
closing of the connector is not required. Common activities include
mountaineering, caving, rope access and climbing anchors and include the
following uses:
- Connecting harnesses to lanyards, chest harnesses etc.
- Connecting from a webbing loop to a descender or ascender
- As a connector for belay points or fixed protection
The working load limit (WLL) of these quicklinks is approx one fifth the breaking load.
